Just 45 minutes driving from historic Old Stone town to
reach the most wonderful, Spectacular and virgin natural
forest in Zanzibar.
This beautiful and
attractive forest accumulate variety of birds, animals,
trees, plants and insects such as wild pigs, butter
flies, bats, red colobus monkeys, ader's duick........etc.......etc.
The forest is rich in history as it is the former
residence of Mzee ufufuma who was the chief of this area
during 13th C. Accompanied by an amazing sounds and
noises of red colobus monkeys, birds, insects and
information in detail about the history of the forest,
caves which played as houses for Our ancestors during
13th C. and individual, social, cultural and economic
importance of the forest, We hope that our leisure walk
to his residence will be more shortened and luxurious.
His three horrific caves which used as a house to live
in, Conference centre and a well respectively are still
existing and are now used by witch doctors and craftsmen
and women as traditional spiritual centers where special
talents, blessings, richness, cure and protection
against diseases and witch craft are provided among the
believers. worry not should we meet them in action as
some will be rolling down naked, some of them will be
singing, creping their hands and other doing this and
that and what ever. Just be patient and totally free to
ask any question from whatever you see or think as
everything will be going peacefully but traditionally. |
