Day 1: On arrival in Kilimanjaro
International Airport you will be met and
transferred to your lodge. The rest of the day
is at your leisure. Please note this is an
arrival day and you may arrive at any time.
In the evening there is a briefing on the trek.
At this time you will also receive your personal
trek bag. This trek bag will contain a kit bag
that your porter will carry, an appropriate
sleeping bag, sleep sheet and down jacket. You
will need to transfer your other possessions
into this bag. You will be able to leave your
normal traveling bag and any excess luggage at
base hotel to be collected upon your return.
DAY 2: Leave from your hotel after break
fast transfer to Rongai to start your climb to
Simba Camp 2800m. 3-4 hrs for Dinner and
Overnight.
DAY 3: After break fast continue hike to
the 3rd Cave 3850m lunch at the Camp with Dinner
and Overnight.
DAY 4: After breakfast commerce your
climb to Kibo hut 4703 m lunch at Kibo with
dinner and overnight.
DAY 5: Early Midnight start for the
summit on steep and most demanding, part of
climb by torching around I am to reach the
crater rim at Gilman's point 5685m. We will rest
there for a short time to enjoy the spectacular
sunrise over Mawenzi. Those who are still strong
continue to Uhuru Peak 5895m the highest point
in Africa. From here descend to Kibo hut then to
Horombo hut for dinner and Overnight 4703m.
DAY 6: After breakfast a steady descent
takes us down through Moorland to Mandara hut
2700m the first stopping peace at the Marangu
route. We then continue descending through
lovely bush forest on a good path to the
National Park gate at Marangu 1830m takes 5-6
hrs, sign for Certificates of achievement then
say goodbye to your guides and porters transfer
to your hotel for shower or bath and good rest.
Dinner and Overnight stay.
Day 7: You will be transferred by your
private vehicle to the airport for departure.
You can book this transfer at any time depending
your flight schedule. Or we can arrange Safari
/Beach holiday / Cultural Tourism
