Day 1: On
arrival in Kilimanjaro International Airport you
will be met and transferred to your lodge. The
rest of the day is at your leisure. Please note
this is an arrival day and you may arrive at any
time.
In the evening there is a briefing on the trek.
At this time you will also receive your personal
trek bag. This trek bag will contain a kit bag
that your porter will carry, an appropriate
sleeping bag, sleep sheet and down jacket. You
will need to transfer your other possessions
into this bag. You will be able to leave your
normal traveling bag and any excess luggage at
base hotel to be collected upon your return.
Day 2: Leave
from your hotel after break fast drive to
Kilimanjaro National Park gate Marangu 1800m.
Start your climb walking to the rain forest to
Mandara hut 2750m takes 3 hours. Dinner and
Overnight
Day 3:
After break fast leave the glades of forest and
follow an ascending path of the Moorland to
Horombo hut 3720 m. Dinner and Overnight – 5-7
hours.
Day 4: After
break fast ascending pass the last water point
walking on the saddle Between Kibo and Mawenzi
arriving at Kibo hut 4703 m. 5 - 7 hours. Dinner
and Overnight.
Day 5: Early
midnight starts for the summit on steep and
heavy up to Gilman's Point 5685m. Rest for a few
minutes at the crater rim before ascending up to
Uhuru Peak 5895m the highest point in Africa.
From there descend straight to Horombo hut.
Dinner and Overnight.
Day 6:
After break fast the day spent in descending
down to the National Park gate Marangu to sign
your Certificate of achievement then say goodbye
to your guides and porters transfer to your
hotel for shower or bath and good rest. Dinner
and Overnight.
Day 7:
You will be transferred by your private vehicle
to the airport for departure. You can book this
transfer at any time depending your flight
schedule. Or we can arrange Safari /Beach
holiday / Cultural Tourism.
